Christian is a designer in the New York City area.

As an urban dweller, born and raised in South Brooklyn, Christian wasn’t exposed to woodwork or tools growing up. However, during an exploratory phase, known as a quarter life crisis, she made the decision to leave advertising and study design. This is where she found her love for everyday objects and set on to produce her own.

Without any experience and a lack of funds, she did what she could. She purchased a couple of carving knives, grabbed some scrap wood, and started making spoons in her bedroom. From there, her love of production and making handmade objects grew. Her wood carving and turning skills are predominantly self-taught or more accurately, internet-taught.

She continues to build her craft with a beginners’ mindset.
