Wood Care
Keep your goodies in tip top shape by doing the following:
Hand Wash Only.
Washing with soap and water is okay.
Drying with a towel is recommended over air drying.
Do NOT leave items to soak too long or often as it may lead the wood to draw in water and eventually crack.
If wood becomes dry or a little rough, a light sanding with fine grit sandpaper (400-800 is preferred and can be found at your local hardware store) and a food safe oil treatment will bring it back to its original luster. Mineral oil can easily be found at your local grocer or pharmacy. Butcher block oil may be found at a specialty store. Do not use olive oil or vegetable oil as they may cause the wood to go rancid.
